I have pondered what can be done about social media.
The best thought I have had requires legislation, so I don’t love it, but I still end up pondering the notion:
In order for a company to not be liable for content:
- They can’t own or control individuals’ words or content.
- Companies can host or distribute (provide a feed) but they can’t do both.
- Legal hosts must allow users to give access or block whatever distributors they wish to block.
