Ok so I'm messing around with #Debian in a VM. One thing I've noticed so far is that #pop_os will automatically open and install .deb files for me. I'm trying to install Obsidian, and they just give you the .deb file directly. Double clicking it in pop os installs it. Double clicking it on Debian, opens it in archive manager. :|
