If successful interactions with doctors (especially GPs) is built on compassion for the patent (and therefore being able to listen to how the describe their experience to correctly diagnose its causes), then the latest data on 'compassion fatigue' is worrying.
In General Practice, much depends on successful communication & empathy between doctor & patient... if that is badly degraded, might that be contributing to the NHS crisis (as well as being caused by it)?
