Google has had a limited work from anywhere policy established for the last 4yrs. Oracle & Cisco encourage staff to work from home. Nvidia, Adobe & Intel have very liberal hybrid work policies according to friends who work there.
However Amazon, Meta, Apple & Netflix enforce work in the office so if these dinosaurs are who "everyone" is to you, you'd be right.
