"content": "Well having tried it and having seen the issues I had (including the issues of just buying a SAS expander that doesn't have a proprietary connector towards the drives from here in Germany) I'd say building your own storage is almost always way worse. I had to buy the SAS expanders from the US as there were literally none available here in Europe, but there were a lot of disk arrays and such...",
