I've often reflected on touring acts, thinking they have the worst dream job ever. Sure, those couple of hours on stage in front of a loving audience is probably a wonderful high, but at the price of constant travelling, setting up, tearing down, never staying in a hotel room more than 2 nights max, making sure there are no brown M&Ms in the green room...
