I used to get all my feline associates in similar ways all but one of them kittens and all of them “self delivering”.
Used to…it stopped when my literally brain damaged neighbor broke my then cat’s jaw and damaged her brain stem with a golf club.
Why? He saw her as competition and a road block to his wanting to put out toxic rat poisons ,
She was a Norwegian Forest Cat and Super Mouser .
Not much into hunting birds especially after her and a red tail hawk became hunting partners .
And she would not go after the squirrels .
The Squirrels are not where they seem…
