Update to my search for used computers local to me. I scouted a #Uniway outlet nearest to me yesterday, jotted potential replacements for his Dell Latitude E6410, let my son sleep on his germinating specifications, and he bought his laptop this morning.
I did not involve myself in the purchase beyond chauffeuring him and providing a sturdy carrying bag for his adapter and laptop. (He bought a Thinkpad T540p)
