Ok, this is what I want. I want a physical signing device that I can program a nostr private key into. When connected to my phone or computer, I want this device to do one set of actions only: download from my phone/computer an unsigned nostr message to be posted to the corresponding public key, sign it with the private key, then send the message back to the phone/computer. That's it. Seems doable to me.
I want to only log into my nostr client with only my public key. Most clients already do this. To post a message, I want the following steps.
1. Draft message.
2. Click SEND/SIGN button.
3. Connect the signing device.
4. Touch sensor.
On touch, message is signed with my private key and is sent.
Similar to how using a yubikey works.
