Before I was any kind of programmer, I heard that 3D spatial skills were a good indicator of success in the field and was confused. What does folding programming in your head have to do with code?
Now that I'm on the other side, it seems so obvious. So much of programming is being able to hold the shape of data in your head and reason about its path of travel.
