Top 10 things I learned doing a #DIY metal roof.
1. I don't want to be a roofer!
2. For a big roof, 2 people is not enough.
3. Install your bottom foam closures BEFORE your roof panels.
4. Cupped 1x4 purlins, install cup side down.
5. It's always windier on the roof then on the ground.
6. Make it as square and as flat as possible.
7. Measures six times before doing anything.
8. It's slippery when wet or cold, be very careful.
9. There will be mistakes, lots of them.
10. Stock up on Band-Aids.
