A small slice of today's sky, 25 minutes before sunrise. Did it really look like this? No, at least not according to my memory, which can be deceiving. The glow of the morning red isn’t quite captured by the image. Even the colors weren’t like this in my memory. I edited the photo to make it look beautiful in my eyes, but it doesn’t reflect reality. What even is reality? Maybe I have fewer S-cones in my retina than you, maybe my monitor isn’t calibrated, or what color profile did the camera engineer come up with?
