For some reason, I've been seeing a major uptick in some people I follow on social media, and others I know irl, who are thinking about their youth as having the best books ever, and want stories like those to come back (in one case, to really to dominate their genre today).
I love books from my childhood, but even the best of them are dated. I love today's books, how marginalized people are writing them, and the justice and relevance that goes with that.
