Our mind has been programmed to see it as the end of something and the beginning of something else, even more as the continuation of the previous thing.
It just seems inevitable for our mind to process that, review and assess the ending year (or beyond) and make decisions to improve on the new one.
It is quite random, not really natural, but I personally don't try to fight it. I try to embrace any occasion to reflect and improve things. ☺️
