I think you would have thought differently if you had read the original script. They ruined the theatrical version, imo.

In retrospect it wasn’t actually bad, but I had already fallen in love with the story I had originally read a few years prior, and seeing the most important parts of it change when I saw it in the theater made me initially hate it.
