Abu Dhabi (UAE) - The National Program for Coders and Samsung Gulf Electronics announced the expansion of the "Galaxy AI Pioneers" training program to include classroom lessons in several state schools. The program targets over 4,000 students in 15 schools in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, providing scientific material during school hours in the fields of artificial intelligence, programming, creative content, and online safety, among others. The program aims to introduce students aged 12-17 to the concept of artificial intelligence through a wide range of topics, including the basics of artificial intelligence, Python programming, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and natural language processing. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mahmoud, Director of the Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Office, emphasized that the UAE government is committed to empowering national youth and working to enable them to participate in achieving a positive impact in the digital landscape through the development of technological skills and promoting innovation, which supports the country's vision for digital transformation and building a knowledge-based economy. The program is part of the government's strategy to empower youth and prepare them to face the challenges of the digital future through advanced training programs, encouraging entrepreneurship in technology fields, and supporting ideas that contribute to enhancing the UAE's position as a global center for technology and innovation. Shafi Al Shammari, President of the Marketing and Direct-to-Consumer Business at Samsung Gulf Electronics, said that the expansion of the "Galaxy AI Pioneers" program marks a significant milestone in the educational landscape in the UAE and aims to make artificial intelligence and digital literacy an integral part of daily learning, with the goal of producing a generation of innovators who will shape the digital future. The program has seen great success, reflecting the strong demand from students to learn about this advanced technology, and we are expanding the initiative in partnership with the National Program for Coders to ensure a wide range of Emirati students have the opportunity to develop the necessary skills to keep pace with the development of the digital world.
