I missed this discussion last week (busy getting married etc) but I want to chime in now if that's okay.
A lot of us feel nostalgia for the "golden era" of #rstats - the tidyverse was solidifying, RStudio was gifting us new tools, Twitter was popping off, R4.0 was being released.
I feel that too, but I also want us Old Hats to remember not to make the mistake of thinking our first "special" experience is the only one. There is a lot to be excited about!
