35 years ago, I got my first external HDD for the Atari ST, it was 40 MB in size and at the time cost $1,500. Adjusted for inflation: $3,800.
Today I purchased a 2 TB USB drive as a backup device for the Time Machine. Cost: $150.
I find that still #awesome.
