I have this on a tiny scale with a raised bed. Of three native grasses, only two germinated but are magnificent.
After a year, wildflowers among the grass are not dramatic but some are flowering.
To imitate grazing I have gone at it with scissors, trimming immediately around the wildflowers. Yellow rattle seems like overkill.
I am optimistic that with new seedlings in gaps cut with a bulb planter, it will evolve next year.
