One of the lies that is breaking down in society right now is that emotional pain isn’t serious. People are starting to realize that chronic stress and emotional harm do serious damage to the body, relationships, a person’s long term freedom to find happiness. It’s not all in your head. Trauma isn’t something that we should be expected to have to endure as a matter of course.
This is core to the values differences in the culture war.
