Majestic Moose on Nostr: What we are seeing in Europe is a system that has culled its strongest warriors ...
What we are seeing in Europe is a system that has culled its strongest warriors through two world wars, the very people who would have been a threat to a centralized oppressive government, then feeding and breeding the weak who survived resulting in a society so pacified, domesticated, and de-fanged, that they watch their countrymen be mowed down by cars in the streets or their sisters and daughters raped and abused with hardly a whimper more than pigs watching their stablemates be tortured and killed.
If that weren’t bad enough, they are under a mass hallucination that it’s a good thing, they deserve it, and they are good people for allowing this. They are eager to be conquered.
America is not far behind and some of the same tactics were tried here. The critical difference between America and other countries is our core belief encoded into the Bill of Rights. The novel idea that these rights are NOT granted by the government, and thus, cannot be taken away. We are born with them and have always had them. We just have them - period.
The Bill of Rights restricts the government from infringing upon them. Any right that can be given to you automatically makes you subservient and means you will only practice it at your leader’s pleasure until they change their mind.
This distinction has always given Americans, wherever they came from, a rebellious spirit suspicious of government power and overreach and the only way to keep it from growing into an unchecked totalitarian police state is by exercising our rights and rebuking any attempt at restrictions.
We must never be silenced or disarmed and turned into docile livestock. An oppressor only respects one thing. Something egalitarian, permission-less, trust-less, and undeniable - physical force. We may have to face some of the negatives that come with freedom from time to time but the alternative is far worse - extinction.
