It does also display the daily active users which is also quite high even if you say 10% a bots, that still about 200 million active daily users.
I am an active user on twitter and it certainly doesn't seem like a small space like the fediverse. There are a lot more people on the platform and if you want to reach people outside of the fediverse online it seems to be one way to do it. I don't get posts with a few thousand likes on here, but occasionally does happen on my twitter
