Let's be honest, RPis are not designed to be put in a big, flat chassis. You would have to design and manufacture a big custom clamshell for a laptop, that would be thick (at least an Ethernet port thick) and fit all the components. Second - price to performance. Let's not kid ourselves - RPis SoCs are not powerful, at all. They are good for terminal-based server stuff, but up until 3B (when I stopped) they struggled even with XFCE, not to mention like KDE",
