In our testing we have found that CF is the best provider for this use case in terms of their pricing and performance for this use case.
The only thing in this case they are being used for is to store and process *public* Nostr events, without any personal information. You don’t need to protect what does not exist.
It would be great to replace them with a more privacy-focused provider or use fully custom infrastructure but that can’t happen until people stop expecting relays cost $1/mo and media hosting rains from the sky.
