I think the issue is, in this world, certified means you did something in rote to pass a test.
It does not mean you understand why you did something in a certain way.
I'm an uncertified electrician who has done 600a 3phase wiring with 600mcm and low voltage wiring of all types.
I understand how things work more than I care about code.
