Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Office of H.H. Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated the 40th annual exhibition of the Emirates Fine Arts Society, held at the Sharjah Art Museum, last night. The exhibition is an important annual event on Sharjah's cultural calendar, showcasing the evolution of fine art, highlighting individual and collective artistic experiences, and making each edition a prestigious cultural event on the visual arts map in the country and region. Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi toured the exhibition, admiring the diverse works of participating artists, which included photography, sculptures, paintings, watercolors, acrylics, ceramics, and other works that reflect the diversity of contemporary and modern artistic techniques. The exhibition offers a rich visual panorama that reflects the development of the artistic movement in the UAE and the region, and enhances Sharjah's position as a cultural and artistic hub. The exhibition, organized by the Emirates Fine Arts Society in collaboration with the Sharjah Department of Culture, Sharjah Museums Authority, and Sharjah Art Foundation, features 50 artists from the UAE, Arab countries, and abroad, presenting innovative and distinguished works, forming a diverse artistic tapestry that reflects the intersection of tradition and experimentation. The participating works were selected by a specialized committee consisting of artists Khalil Abdulwahid, Dr. Krima Al Shomali, Salmah Al Meri, and Dr. Muhammad Yousuf, President of the Society's Board of Directors.
