If you are going to have animals you must be responsible for them. We have some cats (feral? No tags visible) taking up residence at our place. One has made a home under our workshop. Trying to trap it to take it to shelter; but it is smart for traps and has started to leave dead birds around our house and shop that are clearly cat kills. This makes me very angry. Cats are a large chunk of the cause for declining bird populations. Keep your cats inside, make them catios, do leashed walks, whatever it takes to fullfill their needs but do NOT let them ruin our wildlife. We cannot allow this to continue.
The days of outdoor “barn cats” are over - we know better now (even with rodent populations; cats go after birds). Outdoor cats are a damaging invasive species.
