While reading a few threads with people’s bad or incomplete takes on Nostr/Bitcoin/New Thing I’ve come to think that all new emergent technologies or changes in general need their detractors, no matter how stupid.

Bitcoiners have provably honed their understanding of the asset after seeing a shitty take on it (maybe they thought it sounded reasonable at the time)

Let’s also face it, new things are mostly incomplete and may “suck”. Imagine if the world accepted something new without any push back at all.

That provably unfortunately means that these things need laggards that will be last to accept it kicking and screaming.
