There is no perfect analogy. My point is that, generally, people are not going to devote a lot of time around discussing stuff they already generally agree about. If someone posts the screenshot of some liberal professor doing some weird gross shit, what discussion is there to be had? It's like, >90% people going, "yeah, that's fucked. We don't like that" with maybe one or two token retards crawling out of the woodwork to "well akchually this is the necessary outcome of christianity, I read it in nietszche ☝️🤓" it's a discussion that, generally, is largely agreed on. Meanwhile, the latter isn't.
A better, more recent, example. A couple of weeks ago, when the gab refugees were first showing up, you had people mocking some of them for acting like they had just discovered racism or antisemitism and no one before them had ever heard about either. They were mocked, not because people on this side of fedi find something objectionable about racism or antisemitism, but rather because of how tone-deaf and "preaching to the choir" it felt.
