If El Salvador is left alone and can be allowed to adopt and grow Bitcoin for it's citizens it will become an interesting proof of concept for the Austrian view of Time Preference.
Can a hard money with retaining value lower Time Preference and will that aggregate lowered time preference truly have a "civilizing" affect. Such as lower overall crime, higher savings and capital for investments.
Currently El Salvador is number 1 in violent crime rate. I hope, for the average person there, that this does cause a lowering of crime rate.
