.I live not far from one of the UK first nuclear plants and there most definitly is a nuclear waste problem its an area that was previously pristine with no pollution and very few people ,no industry etc ,yet there was environmental damage and its been many years being decommissioned .If there wasnt a nuclear waste problem ,all nuclear plants would be in or right next to cities where they could be better staffed and looked after,not in the UK s more remote areas
