I just had to euthanize our oldest gold fish, "Big Guy". I found him in the pond clearly suffering from dropsy. He must have been suffering with it for a few days as dropsy doesn't kill quickly. I've rehabilitated many sick fish over the years and had I caught it sooner he would have been fine, but he was too far gone. A fixture in our pond for 10yrs, he was missing an eye from an owl attack and sired most of the young goldfish that appeared each year. RIP Big Guy.
