those are interesting.. I had a lamy safari a long while back, tried to love it but ultimately we did not get along too well. from what ive read the 2000 has a different nib, and body, and is their flagship. how do you like it? :)
any pen should do well by a good through cleaning, just got a late 90's cross working the other day, after being out of service for about 15 years. :D
