There's a #parenting podcast called The Longest Shortest Time. I don't listen to it, but I really love its name. It's so true: the issues you have every day as a parent seem so critical - and then they're all over and you're worrying about the next crisis.
My son did not pass his 11+ test. I'm heartbroken; a part of my mind is catastrophising that this is it for him, that he'll end up sleeping in a shop doorway, sharing needles. I know I'm being ridiculous, but it's hard to stop.
