I had an O2 SIM in my OnePlus 3 that I bought in London for the trip and the phone worked perfectly fine while I was in the tunnel going from England to France, but as soon as we exited the tunnel in Calais and I saw light the phone immediately stopped working. Which was annoying since I had no mobile data when we got to the Gare Du Nord train station. Had to walk across the street to the McDonald’s and use their Wifi to call for an Uber to take me to my hotel!
And then had to wait until the next day since it was after 4pm Paris time when I arrived to pick up yet another SIM from SFR.
Well son of a bitch when I was heading home I was flying out of Heathrow so that fucking phone stopped working the moment we saw daylight in Folkestone and there I am fumbling on a very bumpy train ride for the next 15 minutes or so from Folkestone back to London so I could call an Uber to take me to the fucking airport so I didn’t miss my flight!
Crazy time, but I wouldn’t change a thing. Best 2 weeks of my life.
