yeah fuck cancer. old friend of mine sent the last quilt she ever had the energy to make to my son for his birthday last year. We talked often, and the optimism was always there, but her body just couldn't deal anymore. 25 years, remission 3 times, and as another comment said "they did a scan of the liver and found cancer everywhere".
