elsat (nprofile…mejr) Mastodon is federated and the #EU already hosts an instance that it controls. I looked up Nostr on Wikipedia and it seems that the main motivation behind it was to bypass internet censorship which is not the case here. Furthermore Mastodon has European origins and for Europe this would be a plus. Politically speaking using a tool that was developed by a right-wing person could have consequences as well.
