Apparently the NYT has an op-ed about IUD insertion and the discussion of pain being long overdue? I'd very much like to read it if anyone has access to the article and a way to share.
I had some horrific experiences. I specifically do not describe them unless a friend is considering getting one, and then I urge them to get general anesthesia. I'm so glad to hear that someone is trying to start this discussion at a level that might positively influence how insertions are performed.
