They also implemented mandatory KYC to participate in their ad program. No offense, but I'm not going to send some random crypto exchange a copy of my passport and driver's license just to send poast $0.99 a month in Brave ad revenue. A lot of people just stopped participating.
It might have been a necessary move from Brave's perspective though, because apparently they were dealing with a lot of ad fraud.
