The problem is how loud and aggressive alcoholics are about how they think that their drinking habits are normal.
Back when I was in college I knew a a few alcoholics, some as young as 18, who binge drank constantly and would get angry when people told them to stop because "this is what everyone does in college."
They were the only students I knew who binge drank.
None of them made it through college, some of them even went to jail for things like DUIs.
One of them went to prison for getting girls drunk to have sex with them, something else he thought every man did, because rape culture is also a thing.
We need to have more people talk about how little they actually drink, and put that front and center in the dialogue, so the people who binge drink every night or every weekend understand that what they are doing is not just a normal thing that all adults do.
