I notice that Diesel sales are down by almost 22% in July. Registrations have fallen a further 1.4% market share since last year and, since this attrition has been going on a while, you have to wonder how long such low numbers have to go on for before the overall population of diesels starts to shrink and filling station operators start making decisions about how much of the stuff they hold on site. Fossil fuel sales are low margin and rely on volume sales to justify holding stock.
