The ratio of wealth between men and women in 2019, according to this, is 1:83 -- so men held on average 83% more wealth than women.
To give you an idea of the significance of that disparity, if we implemented a wealth tax we’d have to add an additional ~46% tax that is applied just to men to level the playing field.
Or, put differently, it’s just as easy for a woman to accumulate wealth in the US as a man ... a man that pays an additional 46% tax.
