Bitcoin is Email.
#Email is a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE, public, unstoppable protocol. Actively hurting billions, exploited to the max.
Despite its contribution to the revolution, people will look back at #Bitcoin and dispise it, while trying to use it as less as possible.
Thankfully, over the years, we've built other things to replace the shitty Email - we've built Messengers, in fact, many, very good, communication protocols.
Yet, the majority of the Web's account/identity system is built around Email. That's finally going to change with #Passkeys, and #Nostr
Same for the money / #crypto category: there are many, and better, protocols and blockchains than Bitcoin and #Ethereum. You gonna use them, cuz it will be just the new normal global financial system, tho this doesn't mean there's no better options who will fight even against the holy grail called Bitcoin.
Question is, what's the next thing after Bitcoin.
First was the Internet. It brought freedom and free flow of information - anyone, anywhere, can say and write anything for anyone, without any permission.
It brought freedom of information, freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom of expression, #freedom of thought.
Next was the Bitcoin. It brought even more freedom and free flow of money/value - anyone, anytime, anywhere to transact globally, to exchange their productive capital, without any permission.
Though, they both also brought a perfect environment for total, unbreakable, #surveillance and control, more than anything ever.
