The thing about tourist towns (even if they are working towns year 'round) is that there is an inevitable emptiness in fall/winter/spring. I could post pics of Skagway also looking like a ghost town.
Sitka is having this intense discussion right now. How much is too much tourism and how much do we want it to change our town?
