Time vertigo moment: I plucked a book from my shelf. It is the 1999 "20th-anniversary Edition" of Gödel, Escher, Bach by Douglas Hofstadter.

Inside is a faded receipt that I used as a bookmark from the last time I was reading the book. It's dated 2004.

The bookmark has itself seen its 20th anniversary.
