Absolutely cannot fathom the political calculus being done by the democratic party except for maybe the fact they have a fetish for losing. If I was the president of a country who just got the greenlight from the nation's ideologically opposed supreme court to say that I could straight up do political assassinations and get in 0 trouble for it, I'd start doing that shit before anyone even had the time to read the full ruling.
