Day Safari to Mikumi National Park (by SGR TRAIN) 🚆

is a shortest safari offered in the southern Tanzania takes you to one of the closest park in the south called Mikumi National Park. It starts very early in the morning around 5am hours and ends after 21:00 hours back into Dar es salaam.

Dar - Morogoro- Mikumi National Park – Dar es salaam

Pick up from DSM city center 5:00 anm early in the morning drive to Train station . Train departure time is 6am arrival in Morogoro at 7:40 am

Once we arrive at Morogoro our driver will be ready to drive us to Mikumi for 2 hours arrive at Mikumi gate 10am we do registration and proceed with Game drive of Mikumi National Park with picnic lunch. 1 pm stop for Lunch
Late afternoon proceed with game drive until 3:30 pm

Late evening check out the Park and drive to Morogoro town Train station for journey back to Dar es salaam city . Departure time 19:15 from Morogoro, arriving in Dar City at 21:20 . Drop off will be at your Hotel/ Residency

With 3,230 square kilometers coverage Mikumi National Park is well-known park in Tanzania. The park is well-known for its population of elephants, giraffes buffaloes, zebras, elands, greater Kudu, wildebeest, roan and sable antelope. Predators include tree-climbing lions (which are in large number), leopards, wild hunting dogs and black-backed jackal. More than 300 species of birds have been recorded here including Eurasian migrants such as red billed oxpecker, marabou stork and lilac breasted roller.
