Yeah I'm just a person who that thing happened to (being "spotted and assessed") so IDK if it's necessarily "good" for people bc it was quite bad for so many of us.

Some things can make social groups more inclusive of early-DX'd / high-support-needs autistic people like:

- Are people there familiar w/ AAC / other nonverbal communication?
- Does the group include people who have carers accompanying them?
- Outreach to projects like Stay Out Late (https://stayuplate.org/about/) that work to support participation of learning-disabled people
- Not treating 'gifted' experiences as the default, centering people who survived SPED or survived institutionalization
- Are there places where people living in group homes can be reached-out to, who might have limited internet access?
- Not just extending invitations to people in these places, but asking what they'd like to do, maybe having to ask multiple times because they get so accustomed-to *not being asked* about their preferences. (see: Burrito Test)
- Whether all gatherings are 'discussion based' or some are just drop-in spaces to chill / have other non-discussion activities planned
