Not so much controversial as logical.
Physiologically the short form content causes our brains to react differently. Small bursts of dopamine have an effect that results in feeling engaged.

One of the things that concerns me is the long term impacts at a societal level. It seems that short form content drives shorter attention spans and unproductivity through the continued scrolling as we constantly sit at the slot machine looking for next little bit of brain candy.

Don't forget it is important to get outside.
Do hard things.
Spend time with people in the real world.
Life is calling. Answer the call.
I’m still here everyday, but I also agree. Energy has dropped. But yes, this happens everywhere. I was on Twitter from 2009-2022, and there were lots of years where it felt slow.

Super controversial take here, but the only place that is really keeping me excited on the internet lately is tik tok. I kinda hate myself for saying that, because I don’t agree with a lot of their practices…just speaking purely on what feels interesting.
