Hm interesting. I'm a manual shooter. I use a custom WB of 5500k when shooting outdoors. I'll make small adjustments, sometimes, in darktable. During blue hour, it supposed to be blue, like what your eye sees. Warming it considerably, to makes whites look white, makes the photo look strange to me. Of course, when shooting events or portraits I use a gray card or color target to set a custom white balance.
